Vote the ballot by completely filling in the oval to the right of the candidate's name.
Please vote your ballot with blue or black ink. Absolutely do NOT use red ink, it will not be read by the machine.
Be sure to vote for only the number of candidates listed in the heading for that office.
Some offices allow more than one candidate to be nominated.
Complete both sides of the ballot if applicable.
Place the ballot in the secrecy sleeve with the stub number showing.
- Place it in the return envelope
- Seal it
- Sign it and date it within the signature box on the front of the envelope
The ballot will not be counted if the envelope is not signed!

Important Deadlines
Ballots may be requested by mail up until 5:00 p.m. on the FRIDAY prior to an election. Please note that is rarely enough time to complete the process. Request your ballot as soon as possible, especially if you are not local. We recommend that if a voter would like to request a ballot within a week of the election that the voter picks up their ballot in person.
The Clerk's office will be open from 8 am - 4 pm on the Saturday prior to the election (for the Nov. 3rd election, this day will be Oct. 31st). Voters that request their ballot this day can either vote it in person at the Clerks's office or take it with them to be returned by election day at 8 pm.
The last day for a registered voter to obtain an absentee ballot at the Clerk's office is the Monday prior to the election by 4:00 p.m., but the ballot must be voted in the office, it cannot leave the premise by state election law. The voter must be in person, with valid picture ID to request their ballot on this day.
If you are not a registered voter you can also click on Voter Information above to see what the deadlines are for voting.
All ballots must be returned to the clerk's office by 8:00 p.m. on Election Day to be counted.
